Ashley Tisdale & Lucas Grabeel Confess They Hated Each Other During 'High School Musical'!

Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel recently reunited to to sing one of their iconic duets from High School Musical, AND we learned so much more about them.

Like the fact they actually hated each other while they were filming the first movie.

“All I remember is, we were not close. We were not good friends,” Ashley, who played sassy Sharpay, confessed, before laughing, “It’s been 10 years, we can totally talk about this. We hated each other.”

“Yeah, we didn’t get off on the best foot,” Lucas, who played Ryan, Sharpay’s twin brother, agreed.

By the time they got finished filming the movie, though, things had definitely changed.

“After we wrapped though, I’ve always had a love for you,” Ashley said to Lucas.

“I love you, too,” he admitted sweetly.

Ashley Tisdale And Lucas Grabeel Just Reunited For An AMAZING 'High School Musical' Duet

Ashley Tisdale And Lucas Grabeel Just Reunited For An AMAZING 'High School Musical' Duet

Ashley Tisdale updated her YouTube channel today to reveal a HUGE surprise for High School Musical fans.

The 31-year-old singer and actress, who recently took to Twitter to talk about her iconic character, Sharpay Evans, invited her old friend Lucas Grabeel (who played her twin brother Ryan Evans) to sing with her.

“It’s been 10 years since we sang this song” Lucas remembered as he and Ashley reminisced before singing a re-imagined version of “What I’ve Been Looking For.”

The track, originally belted by Sharpay and Ryan as an upbeat tune, got a makeover by the pair that sounded a bit more like Troy (aka Zac Efron) and Grabriella’s (aka Vanessa Hudgens) original cover.

“Hope you guys like the little changes that we made.” Lucas said, referencing the new rifts and harmonies in the song.

“Yeah,” Ashley added. “You know, we had to make it vibey and cool. We had to make it 2017.”

What do you think of this new take on the song? Check out the video below and let us know in the comments.

Ashley Tisdale Agrees That Sharpay is Honestly a Victim in 'High School Musical'

Ashley Tisdale Agrees That Sharpay is Honestly a Victim in 'High School Musical'

Sharpay is always painted as the villain in the High School Musical franchise, but a new Twitter theory floats the idea that she’s been misunderstood all along, and Ashley Tisdale totally supports it!

In the Twitter rant, user @SHARPAYSAVICTIM (lol) details how Sharpay worked so hard her whole life to be an actress, and was often made fun of at the price of her art, only to have her role snatched away from her from amateur performers (Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens) who didn’t take the theater seriously. It’s a super plausible analysis, and definitely makes you reevaluate the entire series: read it here.

Ashley tweeted about the theory herself (discovered by Buzzfeed) and responded, “This is hilarious!”

She then expanded on it, joking about her character’s name.

“I personally think she was a victim from the start……. her parents named her Sharpay!”

Such a good point. We know Ashley connected with her character Sharpay, as she lovingly pointed out earlier this month with a series of throwback pictures where she took influence from her effervescent style.

What do you guys think? Is Sharpay a victim?

Ashley Tisdale Drags 'High School Musical's Sharpay in The Cutest Way

Ashley Tisdale Drags 'High School Musical's Sharpay in The Cutest Way

In honor of Sunday’s 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards, Ashley Tisdale decided to do what pretty much no human should ever do: Pull out years-old photos of yourself.

The results were hilarious. The 31-year-old actress took to her Snapchat to lovingly drag the character that made her famous, High School Musical‘s Sharpay Evans.

Ashley pointed out that Sharpay mayyyyyy have had a little more impact on her personal style than she’s proud of.

What started it was Ashley reminiscing about the fact that he role as Sharpay earned her the Breakthrough Performance for a Female trophy at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards.

Here’s how everything went down:

Ashley posted this moment with the caption: “In honor of the MTV Movie awards today, let’s take a look back! Me in 2009 winning Breakthrough Performance Female for my role as Sharpay.”

Followed by this close up: “This face is the face I make every time I’m thinking ‘Are you sure’ (Same face I made when Chris asked me to marry him),” she joked referring to her now husband Christopher French.

And then things to a more hilarious turn when she started lovingly dragging Sharpay.
