Nathan Kress Dishes on New Series 'Alive in Denver' with NKD Mag

Nathan Kress is a stud in a button up for his NKD Magazine feature.

In the mag, the 25-year-old former iCarly actor spoke about his new role in the Fullscreen show Alive in Denver!

The comedy follows a “group of friends who get together the night before the apocalypse and reveal their deepest secrets to each other…only the the world doesn’t end,” according to Deadline.

“They all start getting freaked out and they all start to reveal their deepest, darkest secrets about themselves, because they figure that they’re all going to die anyway, so why not get everything off their chests,” Nathan said about the show. “They’re left with the fact that they just revealed everything about themselves, and they didn’t die, so now they have to deal with the fallout.”

“It was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done,” he added about filming. “When I read the script for the first time pretty much every page had something that made me laugh out loud, and then I would read the script again five days later, and I would still laugh out loud.”

“If I wasn’t in it I would be a huge fan,” he said.

Nathan Kress Went To His First Baby Shower For His Future Daughter

Nathan Kress has been doing a lot of firsts lately…the latest being actually going to a baby shower!

The former iCarly star and director joined his wife, London at a baby shower over the weekend for their future daughter.

“Dude I’d never been to one before last week, but baby showers are LEGIT,” he confessed on his Instagram. “Especially when it’s our own baby.. which I’m still sometimes in awe of. (Y’know what else I’m in awe of? How ridiculously beautiful London is, as referenced by me staring at her in this photo. Like y’know how women supposedly get that “glow” when they’re pregnant? I get that now).”

Nathan added that “it was so fun getting to celebrate this incoming treasure with some of our closest family and friends! The preparation continues, and we’re anxiously counting down the days… gah can’t wait to meet her.”

London added on her own Instagram, “It was truly a special day that will be cherished forever. We are so blessed to have such incredible people in our lives, near and far, at the shower, or not! Thank you to ALL for loving our little girl so much ALREADY!! She is one blessed little lady, and we are some dang blessed parents!”

Nathan and London will welcome their daughter this winter.

Nathan Kress Thought He Would Hate Directing

Nathan Kress Thought He Would Hate Directing

Nathan Kress is a fairly new director and he’s dishing about how he got started in his new career behind the camera.

“Honestly, when I first started directing it was really more of a case of seeing how it would go,” the former iCarly tells Prune magazine. “[It was] seeing if I would like it, and thinking I would probably hate it – but I had to know.”

However, it ended up quite the opposite.

“It ended up being way more fun than I thought it would be, granted it is the most stressful thing in my life,” Nathan continues. “I’m always very thankful when the week is over, but it’s so fulfilling and rewarding to build something from the ground up.”

And just because he’s behind the camera too, don’t think he’ll be ditching his actor life — at least not yet.

“Acting is my passion, it’s what I’m here to do,” Nathan says. “But if directing becomes my day job than that is an optimal situation.”

Nathan Kress is 100% Nervous About Being A Dad

Nathan Kress and his wife London announced earlier this year that they were expecting their first child, a baby girl, and speaking with Prune mag, he’s admitting that he’s not entirely ready for her to arrive.

“As far as I’ve ever known, it goes back to the cliché that you’re not ready until it happens,” Nathan says. “I’m never going to feel truly prepared – but at the same time I’m such a researcher.”

That includes books, and websites, and everything in between.

“I’m doing everything that I know needs to be done. We’ve got our books that we’re reading and we’re taking all the classes, we’re preparing as much as we can,” Nathan adds. “Still, when she [London] looks at me and tells me her water broke, I’m going to be in horror that I’m not ready. I think everybody feels that way, and I’ll be in good company.”

Nathan also opened up about stepping back from his budding directing career when baby Kress arrives.

“She’s going to be a late December / January baby. That is when everything is pretty shut down for the most part. Things won’t ramp up until pilot season – so as far as it goes for me – the shows that I direct will be wrapped up or they will be on hiatus.”

He does voice over work and some auditions in between, but if it came down to choosing that over his family, his family would definitely win.

“I would give up my career in a heartbeat if it meant keeping my family stronger – I don’t have any problem turning down work if it isn’t good for my family.”

Nathan Kress Reveals Who He Thinks Freddie Should've Ended Up With on 'iCarly'

Nathan Kress Reveals Who He Thinks Freddie Should've Ended Up With on 'iCarly'

Nathan Kress has been at the center of “The Great iCarly Debate” for close to 10 years — and it doesn’t seem to be ending any time soon.

That can be a blessing and a curse all at the same time, so Nathan opened up to about who he really feels that Freddie should’ve ended up with — NO ONE!

“I get that there’s merit to both sides, but if this was actual real life and not a sitcom, I really don’t think that Freddie should end up with either one of those girls,” Nathan shared.

He adds, “There’s a lot of reasons why neither relationship actually makes sense. Just knowing what I know about real-life relationships and what’s important, I don’t really see many of those things in either one of those relationships.”

Nathan even has a solution to get Freddie out of the triangle once and for all: “If Nathan and Freddie sat down and had lunch, and he was talking to me about these girls that he just couldn’t decide between and there were so many great things about both of them, knowing what I know, I would probably recommend he move to another country that’s not Italy.”

“Just start over and find a girl that is actually into him without having to push himself in front of a taco truck, and also one that does not constantly verbally and physically abuse him.”

TELL JJJ: Who do you think Freddie should be with – Sam or Carly?

Did You Catch All The 'iCarly' Easter Eggs in Nathan Kress' 'Game Shakers' Episode?

Nathan Kress just guest starred on an episode of Game Shakers and paid tribute to his show iCarly in some fun ways!

In the episode, the Game Shakers crew set out to discover if Freddie really loved Carly or Sam by tracking down Nathan.

Obviously, the cast had to nosh on some of iCarly‘s spaghetti tacos, which Carly’s brother Spencer created on the show.

Some very observant fans also eyed that Nathan‘s hotel room number was 8-D, which was also Freddie’s apartment number on iCarly.

The Game Shakers ep also featured dachshunds artwork in Nathan‘s room, which was prevalent in lots of iCarly episodes. They even mentioned iCarly‘s resident hot senior, Gary Wolf!

Who knew all those little nods to the iconic series were hidden in Game Shakers!?

Nathan Kress Talks About A Possible 'iCarly' Reunion One Day

Nathan Kress Talks About A Possible 'iCarly' Reunion One Day

Can you believe that it’s been 10 years since iCarly premiered on Nickelodeon?!

Nathan Kress spoke with Seventeen about the show’s legacy and if a reunion would be on its way soon.

“It’s weird, I was thinking about it this morning, what it would be like for us to do a reunion episode? Because honestly, as tempting as it is to get the band back together and do all that stuff, I think all of us would probably be just a little bit worried that the expectation would be so impossibly high that we would never be able to satisfy everyone.”

Nathan adds, “It wouldn’t just be bringing iCarly together — it would be bringing iCarly together to make an episode better and funnier than any iCarly episode that was ever made.”

Talk about pressure!

But, Nathan says never say never, because it could actually happen one day.

“It would really come down to an outrageously good script,” Nathan shared. “And not only one that I thought was really good, but one that every single person in the cast could get behind.”

“If there was such a script, then it certainly wouldn’t come down to whether or not I had any desire to do it because the thought of getting everyone back together again would be awesome. I would love it.”
