'The 100' Showrunner Has Plans For Beyond Season 5

'The 100' Showrunner Has Plans For Beyond Season 5

Rest assured The 100 fans, the series will not be ending with season five.

During the TCA Winter Tour recently, CW President Mark Pedowitz shared that showrunner Jason Rothenberg has plans for way beyond that.

“I know [executive producer Jason Rothenberg] has a plan beyond year five,” he shared with Nerdist. He added, “He may have a six or seven year plan to it. I don’t know if I’m allowed to even say that, that he has a plan beyond year five, but he does.”

Mark also opened up about why The 100 just works better as a mid-season show.

“It started that way, it worked that way,” he shared. “For some reason, it just feels right. I don’t know how else to say it.”

“I think there’s only one year we used it in the fall, the rest of the time it’s been midseason. For Jason and his team, I think having all the episodes done before we put them up, or coming pretty damn close to it, makes a better product. He doesn’t have to worry about the pressure of those early fall weeks.”

As for the season five trailer? Expect that in March.

The 100 returns on The CW in April.

'Arrow's Echo Kellum Previews Team Split on Winter Return Tonight

'Arrow's Echo Kellum Previews Team Split on Winter Return Tonight

The team is still divided when Arrow returns from the winter break tonight — and Echo Kellum, aka Curtis, has a little insight on the big issue.

“They’re very much still at odds in terms of their capacity to work as a cohesive unit together,” he says in a new interview with ScreenRant. “A lot of lines have been crossed, and those are tough to cross back over.”

Echo adds, “[Rene] selling out Oliver, that’s gonna be tough to accept Rene back into the circle. The line is still very much there and [Oliver and Rene] are definitely on different sides of it. It’s something we’re going to pick up with when we come back, and throughout the rest of the season.”

While we know exactly what drove Rene away from the team, Curtis’ is a little different.

“In my opinion, [Curtis] is kind of like, ‘I wasn’t even doing anything!’” Echo says, pointing out that while Dinah was having secret meetings and Rene was the snitch, his character really wasn’t doing anything.”

“He’s like ‘Hey, we have this history; I’ve known you guys longer than those two and you guys still lump me in the same box.’ To Curtis, Team Arrow definitely crossed a line,” he shares. “He’s not so much mad or angry at Oliver, but more hurt and disappointed…He is a forgiving person, but they are going to have to make large strides in order to regain his trust and forgiveness.”

Arrow returns @ 9PM ET/PT on The CW.
