Aria Shahghasemi Joins 'The Originals' As Hope's Friend Landon

The Originals‘ final season is getting more and more new faces as we crawl our way to the premiere.

Aria Shahghasemi is the latest actor to join the fifth season, as Landon, TVLine reports.

Landon is a “thoughtful, compassionate and self-aware kid from the wrong side of the tracks who catches Hope’s attention when she witnesses him being bullied by his affluent classmates.”

Aria‘s Landon will make his debut in the 12th episode in the upcoming season.

The website also suggests that Landon could join the talked-about, but not confirmed, Hope-centric spinoff.

The Originals final season will debut in Spring 2018.

The Originals' Charles Michael Davis Could Be Playing Piano More on Final Season of the Show

The Originals' Charles Michael Davis Could Be Playing Piano More on Final Season of the Show

Many fans of The Originals know this, but Charles Michael Davis is an insanely amazing piano player.

Over the weekend, showrunner Julie Plec revealed to a fan who asked that his character, Marcel, just hasn’t had a good piano moment on the show in a while for good reason.

“Funny thing about Charles, he started taking lessons in Season 1 and I thought he was terrible!” she admitted. “So it never occurred to me to write in any piano scenes.”

But we think he changed her mind during their last Comic-Con: “He sat down in the hotel lobby and played and he was great. The lessons took!”

Writer Carina Adly MacKenzie also admits that she loves to hear Charles play too and has the perfect idea on how they can write it in.

“When I have downtime on set I always go sit in Charles’ dressing room. He plays piano, I sit on the couch, we don’t talk. I leave with all of my anxiety cured,” she tweeted. “He’s a magician. Marcel can play — Elijah taught him — we’ve just never seen it.”

Here’s hoping we see Charles play on the final season!

'The Originals' Will Feature Caroline 'Several Times' During the Final Season!

We may be seeing more of Caroline in the final season of The Originals than we thought!

Executive producer Julie Plec just confirmed that Caroline will be featured over the course of the season, as opposed to just the first two episodes.

“We’ll see Caroline several times over the season,” Julie wrote on her Twitter.

Julie also added that Caroline will spill about her relationship with Klaus during her appearances.

She added, “They actually have some really interesting convos about their past dynamic and attraction. Seeing it through the prism of Hope’s crush on the ‘bad boy.’ Caroline talks about what drew her to him when she was a teenager.”

We can’t wait for the show to premiere next Spring!

The Originals haven’t actually revealed a title for the fifth season premiere, but they have announced one for the series finale.

TVLine reports that the final episode of the supernatural series centering on the Mikaelson family will be called “When The Saints Go Marching In”.

The title is a homage to the city’s unofficial song of the same name.

Danielle Rose Russell will star as a teenage Hope on The Originals final season, premiering next year on The CW.

The young actress just got started filming a few months ago and just revealed that she finally feels like a genuine Mikaelson.

“You know you’re a Mikaelson when you wake up barely able to speak because you spent your entire day screaming and crying at work yesterday,” Danielle shared on Twitter.

And as any Originals fan will tell you — this is EXACTLY what being a Mikaelson is all about.

'The Originals' Adds Another New Character For Final Season

'The Originals' Adds Another New Character For Final Season

The Originals doesn’t return until next year, but we’re so glad we’re getting new intel about the final season.

TVLine is reporting that on top of adding Roman and Declan, we’ll also meet a new guy named Landon.

Landon is described as a “thoughtful, romantic kid desperate to escape his broken home and the small southern town in which it stands.”

He’s human and has a bit of a shady past, which could lead him into the dangerous world of the supernatural.

He won’t be introduced until close to the end of the final season — and with that Hope-centric spinoff still possible, could mean that he’ll hop over to that.

Last month, we were all blessed with a new pic of Candice Accola and Joseph Morgan on the set of The Originals.

Now, we have even more details about Caroline and Klaus’ reunion for the show, thanks to EW.

According to the glossy, the two will “cross paths in Europe after Rebekah — unable to visit Klaus herself due to their magical predicament — asks for Caroline’s help with an intervention of sorts.”

Candice is set to appear as Caroline Forbes in just two of the first 10 episodes.

While it’s only two and we were hoping for way more, we’ll take what we can get!

The Originals returns in March 2018.
